I have a B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biostatistics and a background in quantitative biomedical research. Over the past 8+ years, I’ve worked as a dedicated STEM tutor supporting middle school, high school, college, and graduate students in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, psychology, and test preparation (MCAT, SAT, GRE, ACT). I’ve tutored both through institutions and companies as well as privately, which has given me experience with a wide range of curricula and learning needs.
In addition to subject tutoring, I regularly help students with college, medical school, and graduate school applications, including personal statements, scholarship and grant essays, and application strategy. Many of my students have achieved improvements, often 20+ point improvements on standardized tests, as well as increased confidence and independence in their studies. I pride myself on tailoring instruction to each student’s learning style, breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable pieces, and creating a supportive, encouraging environment that emphasizes problem-solving, critical thinking, and long-term academic growth.
