Hi! I'm Luke Amendolara. For the last several years, I’ve been tutoring for standardized exams and a wide range of subjects, including math, global/U.S. history, and English.  I attended Bard High School Early College in Manhattan and I'm currently studying economics and mathematics at Columbia University. I know how to help students ace their standardized tests, but I also believe in a process-oriented approach, helping them learn concepts in a deep way that will benefit them far beyond just getting a good score on a test. The way I was taught in school never clicked for me until I started being curious and reading on my own, and I hope to help others find passion for the subjects they’re learning. I have lots of experience with the SAT/ACT, Regents, and a wide range of NYC high school entrance exams (including SHSAT, ISEE, TACHS, Hunter, Bard, etc.) I also have experience helping with high school and college admissions applications.
